Bulldozer springs are key elastic components in the suspension system or working device of bulldozers, mainly used for buffering impact, shock absorption, energy storage, or maintaining pressure between components. According to different functions, it can be divided into the following categories:1. Suspension spring: connects the chassis and tracks to reduce vibration during driving.2. Clutch/brake spring: used in the transmission system to control power engagement and disengagement.3. Valve spring: maintains valve pressure in the engine hydraulic system.4. Balance spring: Adjust the balance of the bulldozer or bulldozer.This type of spring needs to have high strength, fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance. The commonly used materials are high carbon steel or alloy steel such as 60Si2MnA, and the surface may be treated with galvanizing, spraying, etc.

Structure: mostly large compression coil springs, partially combined with hydraulic cylinders to form a track tensioning device.

Buffer impact: When the bulldozer travels on uneven roads or encounters obstacles on the tracks, the spring absorbs the impact energy through compression deformation, reducing vibration damage to the driving wheels, sprockets, and final drive system, and protecting the walking mechanism.

Example: In the track tensioning device of the Xiaosong D65 bulldozer, the spiral spring and tensioning cylinder cooperate to automatically adjust the track tension and adapt to complex terrain.

Structure: Cylindrical compression coil spring, installed between the engine valve stem and cylinder head, partially using a double spring structure (nested inside and outside) to improve stability.

Suppressing resonance: The dual spring design can avoid valve resonance during high-speed movement, ensuring precise valve timing and improving engine efficiency.

Requirement: It is necessary to withstand the high temperature environment near the engine cylinder head (150-200 ℃) and maintain elasticity during high-frequency (thousands of times per minute) expansion and contraction. Therefore, high-strength spring steel (such as 50CrVA) is used for manufacturing.

Structure: It is mostly a disc spring or coil spring, installed between the pressure plate and the housing of the steering clutch. Some parts use a combination of multiple disc springs to enhance the preload force.

Buffer power impact: When shifting or turning, the deformation of the spring can buffer the instantaneous torque change, reduce the wear of the friction plate, and make the steering operation smoother.

Example: In the steering clutch of a tracked bulldozer, the high stiffness characteristic of the disc spring ensures that the friction plate fits tightly, transmits large torque, and adapts to heavy-duty operations.

Structure: A small tension or compression coil spring installed on the linkage mechanism of control components such as brake pedals and clutch pedals.

Function: After the operator releases the pedal, the spring force returns the pedal to its initial position, ensuring the automatic reset of the control mechanism and improving the convenience of operation.
